Unlike choosing a dress from an existing collection, a bespoke wedding dress is designed from scratch. Every detail is considered, from the silhouette and fabric to the neckline, sleeves and finishing touches. Throughout the process, you'll work directly with designer Emily Butler, ensuring your gown reflects your vision from the very first sketch through to your final fitting.

Every Emily Butler gown is designed and handcrafted in our Liverpool studio using carefully selected luxury fabrics and couture techniques. We specialise in contemporary, fashion-led bridal wear with clean silhouettes, effortless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. Whether you're dreaming of modern minimalism, soft romantic details or a statement design that's unlike anything you've seen elsewhere, we'll create a gown that's uniquely yours.

The Bespoke Design Process

Every bespoke journey begins with a private consultation at our Liverpool bridal studio. During your appointment we'll discuss your ideas, fabrics, inspiration and wedding plans before developing a design that's completely unique to you.

Once your design has been finalised, your gown is handcrafted in-house and refined through a series of fittings to ensure a beautiful fit and finish.

As every gown is made by us, you'll work with the same designer throughout the entire process.

For Aimee’s Las Vegas elopement , we knew we wanted this custom piece to feel fun, playful with a fashion edge. Aimee wanted to feel cinched and supported but also feel effortless and relaxed so was drawn to our structured, boned bodices with delicate hand ruching and draping. we took the LILIAN gown and the SERAPHINE gown as our jumping off point and together we designed this adorable corseted mini dress with lots of draping and puff sleeves, all in our signature silk fabric.

Charlotte came to us with an open mind, a creative vision, and a lot of trust. We had so much fun designing her wedding look and wish we could do it all again! We went all out and created a high-fashion, avant-garde multi-functional wedding look that consists of exaggerated scoop neck corset that contoured and cinched her body to perfection, an asymmetric full skirt that with organic hand sewn twists and drapes that flowed into a full length train, a voluminous gathered mini skirt with an oversized bow for her evening look, all in our 100% silk dupion. She styled it with a 100% fine silk tulle neck scarf & veil.
